Estuarine/saltwater Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus)

It's a happy sighting of the croc at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve before I had my lunch at the cafe. The crocs at Buloh are known as Estuarine or saltwater crocodile, they can grow up to 6m long but in Singapore the longest is about 2.5m and I don't think they will grow longer because Singapore is just too small compared to Australia ones that can grow up to 6m.

The most common one is the 1.5m one that always hang around the river along the main bridge. Low tide is the best time to spot them.

Have fun spotting them!

Bruguiera sexangula! In Sungei Buloh

Here's a quick wrap-up of Ria's post on WildSingapore.

This is a great finding for people who loves mangrove and it is listed as 'Critically Endangered' on the Red List. So far, there are 2 of them in Sungei Buloh and the other 2 are in P. Tekong. The tree is not very tall, about 1.3m.

Here's 2 photos of it:
